Authority Board About the Authority Board The Sacramento Public Library Authority is a joint-powers agency between the County of Sacramento and the City of Sacramento. The purpose of the Sacramento Public Library Authority Board is to provide information services to the people of the unincorporated areas of the County of Sacramento and the Cities of Citrus Heights, Elk Grove, Galt, Isleton, Rancho Cordova, and Sacramento.
The Sacramento Public Library Authority's governing board is comprised of representatives from both the County and City of Sacramento, including five representatives of the County Board of Supervisors and four representatives of the City of Sacramento City Council. The Library Director serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the Sacramento Public Library Authority and as Secretary to the governing board. |
