Robbie Waters Pocket-Greenhaven Library
The groundbreaking celebration of the future library location in the Pocket-Greenhaven neighborhood took place on Friday, May 30, 2008 at Sojourner Truth Park, in Sacramento. Over 200 excited community residents attended to watch the groundbreaking. Formal remarks were given by then Library Director Anne Marie Gold, along with elected officials and Sacramento City Unified School District representatives.

  The groundbreaking marks the beginning construction phase for the following future projects: Sacramento City Unified School District’s School of Engineering and Sciences, Sacramento Public Library’s Pocket-Greenhaven Library, and City of Sacramento Department of Parks and Recreation’s Expanded Park and Play Fields at Sojourner Truth Park. The shared construction cost is $33.7 million.
