| Suggest Materials Purchase Due to current budget impacts, the library is temporarily unable to accept new suggestions for purchase.
Guidelines to consider:
- Many titles suggested for purchase are already owned by the library. To thoroughly search the library’s online catalog for a specific book or magazine title, select the Advanced search tab and then the ISBN/ISSN option under Other Searches. Enter in the book's unique ISBN (International Standard Book Number) or the magazine/periodical's unique ISSN (International Standard Serial Number), and click the Search button. If the library owns the book or magazine the item record will appear.
- The library is a member of LINK+, a group of over 45 libraries in California and Nevada. Together, these libraries share over 9 million books with their collective customers. If you don't find a book in the library catalog, click on the LINK+ button which will increase the chance of finding the book. It is easy to request a book through LINK+ which is similar to ordering items owned by the Sacramento Public Library. (Please note renewing and lending periods may vary, and fines and fees are higher, as these books are owned by other library systems).
